It confuses ETS emission allowances, that companies to emit, with carbon credits and implies that emissions are cancelled (or "offsetted"). We need to move away from this view and adopt the so-called #contribution method. Download our White paper
This sentence from @VivarisCapital sums up the heart of the problem with #carboncredits "One credit allows the owner to emit 1 ton of carbon dioxide, and carbon credits are a type of tradeable permit that allows businesses or other organizations to offset their carbon emissions."
📈 Some companies have the right to emit more. If you're part of this family, track your avoided emissions, not your reductions ❌ Carbon credits is not only removals, support energy access ! 🔔 Supporting projects should come first. Measure/Reduce/Contribute at the same time
