to achieve net zero in Switzerland around 900.000 fossil fuel heating systems must be replaced by 2050

This requires replacing fossil based heating systems 3 times faster than we do today

for this, targeted subsidies and regulatory incentives are crucial. They enable heater replacement in combination with better insulation.

However, regulations for heating system replacement, as well as subsidies, vary substantially across cantons.
