Secret Six in-universe is a secret team of 6 individuals. There is history in how the team was formed etc but generally speaking you don't need to read the old ones.

If you saw Superman Jon Kent getting broken up, its from the "DC All In" run and was only a 6 issue miniseries. It just concluded. XD

The Absolute Universe (AU lol) is completely new and just started. Wave 1 was Superman, Batman, and WW and should only be 10 issues atm so its super easy to catch up atm. They just added Flash and Green Lantern.

I didnt know about the LA tie-in but also not too worried. For now haha.

If you ever pick up the comics, all the big heroes are getting Absolute series wh where they spin the origins slightly. They're very good.
