I, and would hope the majority of sensible voters, would vote green in a constituemcy where they are the principal opposition to either reform or the tories. Equally, I would vote either Labour or Lib Dems where they are the principal opposition. Any other vote would be to open the door to rascists.
Throw all kinds of crazy talk and accusations out there that you like. Non of what you say is true and makes you just sound unhinged. My only concern is that football fans (from here, there or everywhere) should be able to attend a game. It's the authorities job to plan accordingly. Bye bye.
Who's claiming either of those things? I'm certainly not.
Once again, so do I. Football hooligans = not good, of course. But that happens everywhere (again not good). And is no reason to ban, otherwise that would be e very week, everywhere. You obviously didn't see or look at what was inflicted on Israelis that night.
So you live further away from what happened than I do. So you should be aware that there were gangs of anti semitic/ anti Israeli people roaming around hunting for anyone Israeli. Pity you aren't aware or able to account for that.
Were you there Rob? And if not, where and what do you base your statement on? Apart from uninformed biased commentators.
I didn't say all are. As I've said elsewhere, I am a critic of the Israeli govt too. But to deny anti semitism exists is ridiculous. And you're now stating that all people who support the ban are not anti semitic. Proof? Anyway, I fully expect (correctly) that the ban will be overturned.
Anyway, cheerio. I'm bothered about football fans not being allowed to see a game they shouldn't be banned from.
What's with the quotation marks, as if they are the exact words I used. Maybe you can reflect on your denial that such opinions exist out there.
Weassely. You're lovely, aren't you. Not everyone who is calling for the ban are anti semitic, correct, but some are. To deny that would be naive in the extreme. Everyone has their own reasons. Let me repeat, & to the point, I believe the football game should go ahead without banning Maccabi fans.
Maybe you should have had a private conversation then. I wouldn't have intruded on a public platform if I'd known 😁 I was also neither entirely agreeing with him, nor you, in fact. Anyway, thanks for the openness of your discussion
That risk assessment is under review by almost everyone now. So watch this space I would suggest. Here's a quote for you: 'The region's police and crime commissioner, however, has asked to see the police assessment and requested an immediate review.'
No, you didn't need to explain to me, because I have never stated he, there, or anywhere there wasn't, or isn't anti semitism. The exact opposite is the case, actually. Please find those people out there who deny it to explain all of this to them.
Again, I'm not sure why you think you have to explain this to me. I have never said there isn't, or wasn't, antisemitism.
By saying nationalism is 'bred into the lot of you,' you come close to accusing the entire country. Not everyone hates you, or any other group. Look at what's going on in the world, where the same problems are apparent in many countries, I do not think these can be solely laid at the door of the UK.
It is not a matter of one side or the other. Both he, and you It seems, are unable to appreciate that what you might be saying is not the whole story. While much of what you say may be true, by accusing it seems the entire population of the UK as being anti-Semitic is utter nonsense.
So you're entire judgement of me and what I said is clouded by that misunderstanding, which you still seem to misunderstand. I was actually attempting to back you up by saying to him there are others (not you) who he should be aware of. Anyway, hope that makes it clear.
Let's back up. You thought earlier on that I accused you of being in the foreigner hating camp. You misread that. I directed that comment at michael and was referring to those in the uk who are attracted by the rhetoric of reform and which have boosted their polls.
Have no idea why you're so aggressive to someone here who is largely on your side in a lot of what you say.
You're speaking to the converted here Natasha. I've lived in the Netherlands for more than 30 years and have a very good understanding of both the failings, and advantages, of both countries. There are societal problems which could very much be Improved by better education and so forth.
Why do you think I'm tuttutting others? I hope I never do that, except for the rascists, and those profiteering from it. But by saying 'it's bred into the lot of you' you alienate the majority of the country who are not what you say they are. Even though I agree there's a lot of ignorance around.
Of course there are distasteful thugs associated with maccabi. But there are countless clubs around europe and beyond with rascist and violent fans who have not been banned from attending games in England. The police/authorities should plan accordingly, as has been done for decades, to avoid any ban
Yep, there are sadly such people on both extremes.
Think you misunderstand Natasha. Not accusing or referring to you at all but saying that. I mean there are people in the UK (as there are in other countries) who hate, or don't like that there are foreigners, whether they be Muslim, Jewish, Asian, or from wherever. That's terrible of course.
