Couldn't agree more - guarantor requirements should be banned ❌ They are discriminatory & unfair 👇
Renters are increasingly being asked for guarantors, even when they can afford the rent.
The government must act! These demands can block or delay tenants from moving into a new home.

🧵 1/3 We carried out a 'mystery shopper' exercise on letting agents last year 🕵️♀️ & were told by many agents that the letting fees were to cover admin costs or the staff time spent checking documents. 1 agent justified the fee by saying "We can’t work for free" - these fees are illegal 🚫
