A federal court has ruled the Trump administration illegally canceled funding for NH’s TRIO program, & programs must be evaluated based on merit – not political motivation.

I've had the pleasure to speak with students in this program and learn about the impact it has. We won’t give up this fight.

A federal judge has overturned cuts to funding for NH’s TRIO career and college support program, which the Trump administration said contained illegal equity initiatives.

Appropriations bills are sending federal dollars back to New Hampshire to fund important community projects.

Recently I had a chance to chat with some funding recipients and let them know the good news.

Great to join @reprileyny.bsky.social to launch the Lowering Utility Bills Caucus yesterday.

Congress needs to step up, take on corporations raking in record profits, and deliver solutions that lower people’s bills.

Granite Staters want law and order. They want their families to be safe.

I voted against this spending bill because American citizens and taxpayers deserve accountable government and commonsense guardrails for ICE.

My full statement. ⬇️

NEW: I’m introducing an amendment to the DHS appropriations bill to redirect ICE’s $75 billion slush fund to our tested and trusted local law enforcement and provide them with the resources they need.

That’s how we can make our communities safer.
January 22, 2026 at 7:25 PM
Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community.

We can truly make this country safer by redirecting these funds to invest in the kind of tested local law enforcement we have here in the state of New Hampshire. That’s what my legislation will do.

For nearly 50 years, the Roe v. Wade decision guaranteed a woman’s right to choose. The Dobbs ruling took away that right, leaving access to safe, legal abortion and reproductive care under constant attack.

We must continue to fight back.

No family should ever worry if they can afford to keep their home warm during the winter months.

That’s why I’m introducing bipartisan legislation to create a new energy tax credit to put money back in people’s pockets.

From a roundtable discussion on preventing scams against servicemembers, veterans, and their families – including my bill to combat predatory claim sharks – to a legislative hearing as Ranking Member of the Economic Opportunity Subcommittee, it was a busy day fighting for New Hampshire veterans.
January 22, 2026 at 12:11 AM
With the Citizens United decision, the Supreme Court overturned limits on independent political spending by corporations and billionaires. It has corroded our democracy and flooded it with billions in dark money.

It’s time for us to put the power of our democracy back in the hands of the people.

Happening now!
STARTING SOON: At 2:30 PM EST, the Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity will conduct a legislative hearing on 12 bills.

The Medal of Honor is our nation’s highest military decoration, symbolizing the valor the distinguished men and women of our military displayed in extraordinary moments.

I worked across the aisle to get this legislation to increase recipients’ pensions passed and signed into law.

The numbers don’t lie. New Hampshire families paid $2,100 more last year due to inflation.

From reckless tariffs to slashing health care, the Trump administration is making life more expensive for families, seniors, and small businesses.

Ended yesterday with the National Cultural Diversity Awareness Council’s Keeping the Dream Alive event in Manchester and a gospel celebration in Newington.

We must ensure the wisdom of Dr. King continues to echo from our prodigious hilltops to every corner of our country.

In an outrageous and dangerous new move by the Trump administration, they will no longer consider the harm that air pollution has on people’s health.

I’m fighting for Granite Staters and their wellbeing – not corporations and their profits.

I joined the community celebration in Laconia yesterday as we pay tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and all his work.

We are all connected, and we must do our part to bend the moral arc of the universe towards justice.

Stopped by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition’s 44th annual event at Memorial High School in Manchester this year.

Together, we fight for hope, justice, and equality.

Great to start the day with community members for an annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day brunch buffet at Soel Sistas.

Dr. King told us: "Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle." The work continues and endures.
January 19, 2026 at 7:54 PM
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a champion for civil rights, social justice, and equality.

His work remains unfinished. We must continue to stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight for a better union for all and honor his legacy by living our lives in service to others.

WIN: The Coast Guard reversed their new policy re-classifying swastikas, nooses, and the Confederate flag as “politically divisive”, instead of the hate symbols that they are.

I led the charge against the outrageous policy that minimized the meaning of these clear antisemitic & racial hate symbols.
