✨Mina’s Minute✨Why is the Fiscal Year 2026 budget so tight? Declining oil prices. Lack of savings. And uncertainty. Without new revenue or a fiscal plan, the Legislature has resorted to tough budget decisions - especially since we are preparing for an even worse budget situation next year. #akleg
Gloves, trash pickers, and bags will be provided by the Mountain View Community Council. Feel free to message us with any questions or concerns. Hope to see you there! #akleg [2/2]

✨Mina’s Minute✨Yesterday, we OVERRODE THE GOVERNOR and raised the BSA by $700, passed a balanced budget, and ended our work a day early. Here’s a recap of the last day of session, but it doesn’t cover everything. I’ll be providing more details on this budget and what’s next for education. #akleg
Next year may be more difficult, but I’m incredibly honored to do this work alongside the House Majority Coalition. (2nd photo credit to Marc Lester at @adn.com )
The 2025 legislative session officially ended its work a day early. We UPHELD a $700 increase to the BSA by overriding the Governor. Although it’s been a difficult fiscal year, our state has dire needs & we were able to pass a budget that invested in families, schools, and behavioral health. #akleg
