Mama. Wife. Working for Georgia's #FightingFifth. Serving on the House Financial Services Committee. #OutLoudOnPurpose for the people. She/Her.
The Republican affordability crisis is hitting working families in the #FightingFifth and across the country. That crisis is only being worsened by Trump’s attacks on the CFPB, the consumer protection watchdog, which have cost Americans $19 billion in financial relief.

#FightingFifth families and communities across the country face health care disparities every day, and I am proud to steward their stories into change as we work to ensure better health care within our communities. (2/2)

The SAVE America Act is just another part of a scheme by House Republicans and the Trump Administration to take over our elections in the #FightingFifth and across the country. It is voter suppression—plain and simple.

#InCommittee, I raised this issue to ensure we are building toward safe, affordable, AND desirable housing in the #FightingFifth and across the country. (2/2)

Trump's cuts to HUD have left the agency with hardly any capacity to provide oversight of public housing authorities—slowing down inspections and repairs for working families. (1/2)

Trump’s FBI investigation in Fulton County is intimidation and an attempt to undermine our election process.

Glad to join @zerlinamaxwell.bsky.social to talk about how we’re fighting Trump’s assault on our elections.

I’m one of the one in ten women living with this debilitating condition, so I know firsthand the physical and economic toll it can take. We have to make sure employers and employees alike understand that FMLA protections apply to this condition. (2/2)

I’m leading the charge to ensure #endometriosis is included when it comes to FMLA protections and labor rights in the #FightingFifth and across the country. (1/2)

Flag on the play! The Republican-fueled affordability crisis can hit harder than a linebacker — so much so that even our #SuperBowl spread costs more this year for Americans in the #FightingFifth and across the country!

This National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, let’s recommit to our communities in the #FightingFifth and across the country. Let’s fight back and protect our Black communities. (2/2)

Black people make up almost 40% of new HIV cases, according to the CDC—a federal agency facing attacks from all angles of the Trump administration even as it continues its vital work on HIV/AIDS. (1/2)

This week, I delivered $13.1 million in community project funds to the #FightingFifth, questioned Secretary Bessent about dismantling the Minority Business Development Agency, and met with local leaders across the district. Catch up on the rest of my week with #NikemasNotes!

Millions of Americans in the #FightingFifth and across the country are affected by cardiovascular disease. Today, we recommit to our vital work to prevent heart disease and strokes. #WearRedDay

Abortion is a human right, and Sec. Rubio is attempting to label that right internationally as a “human rights violation.” (2/2)
February 6, 2026 at 6:52 PM
I am leading the demand with @ocasio-cortez.house.gov—along with 75 House Democrats—that Secretary Marco Rubio reverse the Department of State’s threat to reproductive freedoms around the globe. (1/2)

House Republicans must say something, do something, or be complicit in racism. (2/2)

Trump keeps moving the bar lower. We've been here before and that doesn't make it any less vile, bigoted, and dangerous.

Trump began his political career by promoting racist conspiracy theories about the Obamas, and that racism continues to this day. (1/2)

These investments will strengthen local infrastructure, create pathways to good-paying jobs, and support community safety—including critical security measures for our HBCUs. (1/2)

Secretary Bessent told me that it’s “very difficult to tell” whether dismantling the Minority Business Development Agency hurts Black small businesses.

End the baseless investigation. Accept that you lost the 2020 election. And get out of Fulton County.

#FightingFifth voters know their votes matter, and I will keep fighting to make sure Trump’s vendetta-driven and weaponized FBI does not undermine our elections.

I voted NO to DHS funding. I’ll keep voting NO until ICE is dismantled and accountability is enforced. Trump and Republicans gave ICE a blank check—and our communities are paying the price.
