The governor appoints the Arizona Board of Regents, as do many states' govs for their public universities. That's why political leanings are relevant in general.
OK, some of that may be fair. Just keep in mind that presupposes they aren't doing anything, such as donating or making calls. Factor out the 30-ish% of folks who work weekends ( #BLS ), 25-ish% who are caregivers ( #AARP ), 20-ish% who are disabled ( #CDC ), & we did alright. Sure, more is needed.
Also not an expert, but I fully agree with your assessment. You see relief & even joy in the faces of first-timers to have found like-minded folks. We've been operating w/so much fear this year, & side-eyeing our neighbors, that solidarity has meaning.

If they tell 2 people, & they tell 2 people...
In KFF's pre- #ACA study, insurance providers denied coverage:

- 8% of the time: a young woman w/Hay Fever

- 43% of the time: a 7-year breast cancer survivor (others req'd surcharges, or _permanently_ excluded cancer coverage)

- 100% of the time: applicant with HIV

Some of us are aware, & your POV is valid. We can only do our best at any given time, deal w/consequences, & keep trying.

Just saying - & I'm not looking for participation trophies here - maybe, let us have a couple days to strengthen momentum before reminding us of the inadequacy of our actions.
ICYMI: "On February 19, the Observer reported that James “Jim” Joseph Rodden—an #ICE assistant chief counsel representing the agency in immigration court in Dallas—operates a white supremacist X account named #GlomarResponder, based on an overwhelming number of biographical details..."
“There’s a lot of secrecy and game playing right now. I’m sick of it.”

New from @stevanzetti.bsky.social: The Observer has repeatedly requested an update from ICE about James Rodden’s employment. Three members of Congress have also demanded answers, without results.

Congressman Marc Veasey arrived at an ICE facility Monday in his latest attempt to follow up on the Observer's reporting.

And: "Texas Gov. Greg Abbott confirmed Sunday that UT Austin professor Art Markman has been dismissed from his administrative role as senior vice provost for academic affairs because of 'ideological differences.'"

Nah, don't change a thing. It proudly communicates, "nobody paid me to do this." 😉💙
At least some are speaking out:

10/1/25: Today, we relaunch the Committee for the First Amendment...initially created during the McCarthy Era, a dark time when the federal government repressed and persecuted American citizens for their political beliefs."

More people are participating. More people are speaking up daily. It's marathon, not a sprint.

Yes, stay peaceful. Also, we could just check the code 🤷:

"Assault is when someone physically hurts a person. Menacing is when someone threatens or scares another into believing they are going to be seriously hurt right then and there."

Agreed. Tempting though it may be in the moment, it's counterproductive.
