venom’s role in that is so funny bc hes trying so hard to be the cool leader but he just kind of takes consistent L’s and then has millia call him out for being a baby its all so funny. so many people skip over it but i love it honestly LOL (i wish someone would retranslate it tho)

gg wiki isnt perfect about this but the best thing about it having 99% of the game scripts is like most of them have the japanese script side by side so its very easy to read together and compare them …. every series should have this lol

And then despite Phoenix’s image he is always asking apollo what he thinks !!! Ah it’s so stupid but im obsessed with how payne tries to talk over the defense when phoenix asks when the cards are swapped and phoenix just says I want to hear what apollo thinks ☺️

ive never talked much about it but i also truly think not enough is said about valant and phoenix’s messy dynamic where phoenix also spends 7 years assuming he’s a m/urderer lol i wonder if Phoenix ever had sudden second guesses about his grudge on Kristoph when he found this out !!!!!! Paranoia lol

rummaging through old posts and you know i feel ive made this exact thread 100 times but i still think about how much better 4-1 gets on an immediate replay …. literally everytime i revisit it i have new thoughts about phoenix its an amazing case. my favorite one.

Phoenix makes attachments to almost every new character before Apollo even enters the picture, and even the reason he finds himself wanting to make use of apollo comes back to those connections, specifically the dynamic he has with Zak. Its really interesting to go back to 4-1 after the mason stuff.
