This #GinaRinehart #PaulineHansen video is a year old, but it's interesting to revisit as it's the first time I've seen a plausible explanation of who the 3rd person (back to the camera) is. Is it former #LiberalParty VP & #SkyNews favourite Teena McQueen?

Just a reminder that Amber Electric have a "Solar and Battery Calculator" on their website where you can quickly calculate the Return on Investment (ROI).

Use my referral code if you're wanting to make the switch to Amber. There's a $120 credit for both of us if you do: mates.amber.com.au/4PXKVWFA

These days there are better EV options than Teslas, nevertheless a funny & poignant post by content creator Ryan and his "Ryan's Model Y" FB page. 🤣

Solar roofs are nothing new - especially for carports.

These guys from GoodWe PVBM have gone a step further. They've developed bifacial panels - basically a PV surface on both top & bottom. It does make sense. The reflected sunlight off the concrete base adds an extra 5% efficiency to the setup.

Money really does matter in the trucking business. This company in NZ is paying <$500 per kWh for their EV truck batteries (about half the current rate for a home battery) AND getting a free truck thrown in.

N.B. Listen also to what he has to say about reliability.

Net zero isn’t a scam, but the absolute dribbling idiots screaming “NET ZERO BULLSHIT” clearly have no idea how power markets, emissions accounting, or basic economics work.

With 3 days in 2025 still to go, it seems that ONCE AGAIN the record books will be rewritten. A rather dubious honour unfortunately; 2025 will likely be the #2 or #3 hottest year globally - since records have been kept. 🙁

Looks like another good day for consumers & keeping the EVs topped up. Currently 0¢/kWh and forecast -3¢/kWh at 15:30 today (yes, that means THEY PAY YOU).

An Etrucks battery swapping machine in NZ: 5 minutes to drive in and drive out on a full charge. The batteries trickle charge from solar whilst his fleet is out on the road.

That's me next to Tower 43B somewhere in north-eastern Thailand.

You get a sense of scale standing next to these structures. A rough estimate puts my height at 1.3% of the tower but only 0.03% of the weight. Further, if you compare me to the weight of the base, that's only 0.005% 😲 20,000:1 ratio

Some great news for the Australian Federal Government's "Cheaper Home Batteries" program - and a little bit of bad news in the fine print.

If you're a property owner in Melbourne, the single best (and cost effective) way to improve the resale value is to electrify your home.

Research by property website Domain has documented that EE homes have a median price premium of $197,000 (23.8%) in that market

A Kiwi's take on "Vehicle to Grid".

It can (and has been) equally useful in Australia during times of emergency, when the grid fails us. If you're contemplating an EV make sure that it's V2G or V2H enabled. ⚡

A US review of the Xiaomi SU7 where it is NOT available. Nor is it likely to be under the current administration.

In China it sells for CNY ¥299,000 - equivalent to aprx AUD $63,700. Expect to see the LH drive versions released in Europe in 2027.

Another fact-checking video, this time by the ABC which looked into Sussan Ley's claim about high power prices.

Don't let the fossil fuel industry get away with the lies that rising prices are solely because of the transition to renewables.
