@nytimes.com journalists doing their job means—they’d find the names and families of the folks killed/injured in the Dallas shooting on an ICE processing center. They aren’t just “migrants” or “detainees.” I haven’t seen a gender, a name or anything else. That’s giving in to dehumanization.

Diddy trial—Is it correct that the jury didn’t believe the women who testified, and one of whom was beaten on camera, but the male sex workers who didn’t even testify were believed. We are a misogynist country.

Thank you Senator Van Hollen for standing up for rule of law and human rights.
I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

I just landed in San Salvador a little while ago, and I look forward to meeting with the team at the U.S. embassy to discuss the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia.

I also hope to meet with Salvadoran officials and with Kilmar himself. He was illegally abducted and needs to come home.

Watching Chuck Schumer on @chrislhayes.bsky.social confirmed to me that he’s not meeting the moment. I understand his technical concerns, but the general lack of passion will not inspire the base. He’s had his run, but the Dems need fire in the belly.

1) Years ago I had a blog where I wrote about “colorblind racism.” I would note that we do have differences, and the colorblind approach ignores that. At one point I started noticing that folks who called themselves “racial realists” started reading my blog.
