Like I am an experienced dev, but Java has been an area I seldom touch. I’ve tried doing Minecraft development, and struggled. I think the fact that I’ve been able to get so far with Hytale development, despite the lack of official documentation, speaks volumes of the DevEx.

Oh my god, I've been debugging this mod for hours, and turns out I was running the logic too early, and I should have been running it in start() instead of setup().

I had spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to create a plugin that modifies existing assets. Doing a lot of research on the currently sparse documentation out there.
...I just realized that the Hytale Asset Editor has implemented the things I want to do. I just need to yoink what I need.

Ngl the biggest disappointment I have with hytale is that the server is written in java, and it uses a ton of ram.
