For decades Canada has played a pivotal role in reducing extreme poverty. Today, cuts to aid as global needs rise put those gains at risk. Drawing on 40 years of advocacy, we call on leaders to defend the progress we’ve made. That's#ProgressWorthProtecting.

Your advocacy made a real difference in 2025. Together, our voices helped inspire key Canadian investments to tackle malnutrition and strengthen global health! #cdnpoli

Foreign aid ≠ charity. What aid CAN be is an investment in a healthier future – but only if Canada commits to it.

HOWEVER: as we continue to see sharp rises in global need, Canada took a step back, cutting our international assistance budget 🫤
Foreign aid is not charity, but an investment in stability and peace
A credible Canadian approach would protect budgets for nutrition and food security, maintain support for regions facing hunger, and place human rights at the centre of decision-making.

"One of the largest hunger crises in the world is poised to become even worse." Janice Dickson from the @theglobeandmail.com was on the ground with Save the Children Canada to shed light on this tragedy's devastating impact on South Sudan and its people: www.theglobeandmail.com/appview/worl...
As foreign funds dry up, so do South Sudan’s hopes of stopping hunger crisis

We have the tools to end AIDS — if we commit to them.

There is still time to choose leadership. The world needs Canada on the right side of this moment 🇨🇦🌍

Lives are on the line. The AIDS epidemic is still taking lives and widening inequalities. Cutting funding now moves us further from ending AIDS, not closer. We need solidarity, commitment, and investment — not silence.
