Yep, I used to play medals of honor like this and it's baffling it was so hard to find. Quake 2 on PS1 had a weird version of dual analogue as well. I guess alien resurrection made it default.

Sorry, I just have an ir/rational hatred of that game because it was so dull, insipid and had rotten mechanics. All I heard was that it was the saviour of JRPGs which felt like an insult to all the great portable and lower budget JRPGs at the time.

It's such a cool design. It's equally goofy, bad ass and unsettling and I spent most of SMT4 running around dressed as it. Would love to see it return in a Strange Journey continuation.

I remember the discourse about this game being that the exp growth was wrong and it quickly got a fan hack that increased exp growth x4 or x8 and it put me off the game. I'm guessing that these people were probably expecting to get through the dungeon on their first go?

This was a massive drop off in quality after Delta. It had some positives but that opening stage is chronic as is the battleship level with a frame rate measured in frames per week. I really don't get people calling it a classic.

I know you are exaggerating for effect by bringing up the death penalty but the amount of people whose jobs are now at risk and how much harm it will cause to people that will lose their jobs over it is equivocal to the damage caused by multiple assaults and robberies. Bring back the guillotine.
