Anyways, hard right turn today because I found a job listing that is perfectly aligned with my skill set and the work I would like to do (and previously did), and it's the kind of place that I want to work at as opposed to being A Job

So that's priority 1 today

I've been able to boot into the previous kernel via grub (had to hold Shift at boot) and it works like before, so I've got that going for me.

Good to know it's an option but it seems to have taken out EVERYTHING, and I have to figure out why it updated seemingly without my input to begin with

I think the kernel broke somehow? I run all Linux updates manually so. Is that just a ticking time bomb that updated in the past and decided to explode now?

Searches are just forums of the worst people. If I see "simply" or "just" before a sentence of tech jargon again I'm going to scream

Streaming PC broke its own ethernet drivers, and possibly other drivers, so I might have to postpone the stream I was planning this morning and reinstall

I love pressing the power button on a computer where literally nothing changed from the day before and having it self-destruct

Mostly done lineart (with some glowing bits) of Bun-E03 holding a pair of themed popsicles and winking at the viewer, dressed in a tied t-shirt and bikini bottoms. The happy-looking rabbit-themed one in her right hand has a chunk bitten out of it, while the sour-looking cat-themed one is being held out towards the viewer.

Some of them are special cases; if PSO was the same gameplay with the serial numbers of its setting and world building filed off, I don't think it'd be nearly as impactful. It's also adding on to a cake that was already baked.

Something to consider for a longform blog later.

Threw myself into a mental loop about Phantasy Star IV, how it was meant to be the definitive end of the franchise, and how it just kept going after that

Not as an indictment of Online, it just got me thinking about how many franchises were *intended to end* but were revived by corporate mandate
