My review of Wicked 2 is out in the @christiancitizen.bsky.social. For an anti-fascist parable, that ending was alarming. "If the folks who have peddled fascism and broken laws in this country are allowed to just float off in hot air balloons, we will simply be right back here again in a few years."
The ending of ‘Wicked: For Good’ is irresponsible — Christian Citizen
I probably should not be as disappointed in “Wicked: For Good” as I am, but when a film self-consciously seeks to speak about our modern-day context, I want it to give us creative ways to extricate ou...

Absolutely beautiful piece.

As a Muslim, it renewed my love for the Qur’anic Jesus & Mary, & how they are in dialogue with the Biblical stories. Thank you.

Prayers for more justice & more peace in 2026.
My latest on what reading the Quran can teach us during Christmas. "Personally, it has made my faith more capacious to encounter the holy in other traditions, tracing both the ways that its truth coincides with what my tradition teaches, or offers a critique or other way of believing."
“My advice to read the Quran is usually met with a mix of skepticism and surprise, as Christians are not used to looking outside of their tradition for meaningful reflections on their most sacred figures.”

People seem perplexed when I tell them that one of the best sources for reflecting on Jesus' birth during Christmas is the Quran. The stories are rich and embodied in ways that the Bible can sometimes miss. They awaken awe, and isn't that what we're all after? My article 👇 👇 👇

This! 👇👇👇 It's outrageous to have happened!
Say his name: Sheikh Fouad Saeed Abdulkadir. ICE killed him and he was an imam - can you imagine if it was a pastor? Christian nationalism kills. Fight it and fight #Islamophobia. Both are Christian problems and they are getting worse every day. We have to stand up to these ghouls.

Was proud to be on @ms.now last night standing up for my beliefs and striking out against white Christian nationalism. These ideas don't just stay ideas, they have real world effects like ICE's murder of an imam. #Islamophobia is a big problem and we've got to come together to address it.
