I've just been listening to a couple of hours of MASTER BOOT RECORD, a fabulous artist that combines hard metal synth rock with classical music themes. To me, this is what #ProgRock presents, edgy rock music that is outside the norm.

The Pineapple Thief may not trigger progger's mind as a true prog band, but the very early albums certainly should be. "What We Have Sown" from the 2008 album of the same name is 27 minutes of pure #ProgRock pleasure.
