It was great to chat with Distinguished PE about all things PE.

We spoke on establishing routines, transitions and learning objectives. We also discussed the incredible value of student voice.

I'd love to hear any feedback, please get in touch!

With Field Day upcoming we gave all G1 - 5 Ss options of what they can do. They have 5 votes for which games they want to do.

The aim is to create more meaning and ownership.

Any thoughts?

Thanks Brad 😊 Yes, that’s a great idea to show how Ss feedback shapes the way forward. I will be looking for these opportunities going forward.
Students reflected on their dance unit. I collected up the data and feedback to each class with a personal video of the findings.
This shows the students are listened to and what they tell me valued.

I'd be grateful for any thoughts on this?

Having found the Ss feedback on what would help them to dance I asked which one was the most meaningful.

I combined the responses to make some sentences to help motivate and encourage.

Any thoughts are valued

Ss shared 'Why they did not like dance?'

In groups they created solutions to these problems.

Posters were made than put in the Gym. The aim is give students strategies to support them.

Any feedback is appreciated :)

Dance brings a wide range of emotions. 🤸
I asked Ss how they feel about it.
I took the reasons why some students don't like dance.
In groups Ss thought of reasons why they would dance.
I took these reasons to dance and made posters for the Ss.

Any thoughts on the impact of this?
Getting our G1 Ss to reflect on a net and wall games lesson.

What was best to hit?
Which activity was best?

Magnets make easy for all.

I'd love any feedback on this.
How are you using student voice in your classes?

With 2 weeks left of our Net & Wall games unit, I asked what is something Ss learned so far. They shared and then as an exit ticket they indicated what was most meaningful for them in that lesson.
A great way to reflect and find meaning.

3 Exit tickets in 3 lessons.

How engaged in the lesson while selecting a 'Just Right Challenge' in our Net and Wall games unit?

During the lesson I made notes on which Ss were in each of the sections.

Ss show honesty while self assessing.

Students in G1 - 5 generated 'What matters most to them in PE'.

Their answers closely align with the Meaningful Framework.

We will unpack what each of these look like in PE and support the students.

Our G1 Ss reflected on there participation in the lesson today with the focus on rally's.

This is such a easy and simple way to self assess and gather feedback for improvements.

How do you use exit tickets in PE?

Thanks 😊 I feel you! I just had to try something to encourage positive communication between the students. Hopefully this can be a tool for them.
G1-5 students generated what is ‘respectful celebrating’.

This will be discussed and displayed in the Gym.

These will be used in PE and at recess to ensure the psychological safety of students.

I’d love to join 😊
