A sort of step-by-step from a while back that's pretty vague and not exactly how I work right now, but hopefully shows what layering watercolour and pencil looks like a little!

3d shapes and planes in the face especially are still something I wrestle with so I really appreciate that! Veraglaeka's character refs are super inspiring too, the kind of shapes where everything just clicks and you feel like yesss, I can see how that works!

Thanks so much! The soft/crisp look will be a result of layering watercolour over the top of sharp colour pencil and graphite linework/shading, and repeating that until I have a lot of layers sandwiched together. Not sure how to make videos, but I'll try to do a walkthrough sometime!

Badges for AyVex and plushmellow! These weren't designed to be badges really but it's a fun extra thing to do with the scans (I print them out onto matte paper and paint the names on, still trying to figure out what looks good!)
