so the BAD NEWS is that (at least several bottles of) the 2025 Sam Smith Yorkshire Slingo ale (locals: from Bishop’s Cellar), is infected. Very fruity/sour, no toffee and christmas pudding. The good news is that if you get over the surprise/disappointment treat it like a Flanders it’s pretty good!

Today marks the 108th anniversary of the Halifax Explosion, one of the most devastating events in our city’s history. This morning, residents are invited to gather at 9 a.m. at the Bell Tower in Fort Needham Memorial Park for the annual Halifax Explosion Memorial Service

woo, got Megadeth/Anthrax/Exodus tickets for Halifax in March! I was especially a huge Anthrax fan in high school, so I'm breaking both my "don't see the bands of your youth, but old" and "don't go to arena shows" rules on this one. It's a small arena at least.
