On a recent trip to Hereford, oddly a bit of a decent pub and beer desert despite having a very good small brewery, I walked into a pub only to be told it was not dog friendly (my dog, not me...). Which was fortunate as it avoided an embarrasing exit due to the appaling selction of beers.
