If we're going to canonize people who were senselessly murdered, let's include the 11 Venezuelans who were murdered by the US.

"Epstein is a hoax!" "Trump was an FBI informant!" "The client list is made up!" "There is no client list!" - Trump is Schroedinger's Pedophile.

Moving Space Command from Colorado to Alabama may not seem like a big deal, but there is evil symbolism. NORAD was always based in Colorado while NASA has had a huge facility in Huntsville. Putting a branch of the military In Huntsville is another step toward militarizing a civilian agency.

Trump probably heard that a group of Latino youth was coming to the US with a plan to steal bases.

I just checked and the forecast for tomorrow is partly cloudy with a 100% chance that Trump is on the Epstein list.

I can't say for certain what will happen to Trump when he dies, but perhaps what he deserves would be for God to give him a conscience and let him live with that for eternity

Alligator Alcatraz needs to be repurposed in the future to hold the Trump Administration members and ICE agents responsible for wholesale civil rights violations.

I remember when MAGAs were insulted by the term "deplorable". Now "deplorable" is something they actively aspire to achieve (with considerable success).

In 1911, the Triangle Factory Fire killed 146 garment workers. There hasn't been a second because the GOVERNMENT enacted regulations to ensure there wouldn't be another. I'm not ready to blame Trump for what happened. But I sure will blame the govt if it doesn't act to prevent another such tragedy.

Republican: someone who doesn't believe that humans can collectively release greenhouse gases that affect climate, but believes that an individual flying a crop duster can control the weather.

Texas says they didn't evacuate because the NWS didn't forecast the amount of rain they actually received. Thanks to Trump, more than half of NWS offices are understaffed by 20%+. Do we know understaffing caused this miss? No. But understaffing will cause more misses, and bad forecasts costs lives.

While some people mark the birthdays of those who've died, I don't. Therefore I'm not celebrating anything today. The USA is dead. It has no compassion for the poor, the immigrant, the outcast. Therefore it has no soul. It is a lifeless body being kept "alive" through money and military might.

Dear Congressional Republicans: you're literally murdering people to keep your jobs. And most of you are millionaires who don't need jobs.

When an idea is directionally sound but it is dismissed as "impractical", the problem is with the status quo that makes the idea impractical, not the idea. In such a circumstance, work to change the status quo, not the idea.

I find it ironic that Boomers protested in the '60s with the slogan "don't trust anyone over 30" and now are incredibly reluctant to hand the reins of power over to younger generations, whether we are talking about politics, the church, or corporate life.

Historically, one of the greatest predictors of the impending fall of a govt/society is the extreme concentration of wealth. That's the real danger signal for the US.

Win or lose, Mamdani's surprising showing in the NYC primary is a wakeup call to the Democratic establishment that their ways are dead. They better adopt a stridently populist economic stance. And just as Trump outperformed his polling, corporate media underestimates the power of populist movements.

Violence is always the result of failure at peacemaking. Even the "necessary" violence of defeating Hitler was actually the result of the onerous Treaty of Versailles that made Hitler possible. Had the Allies been gracious, Hitler never happens. The US created the menace of Iran with the 1953 coup.

Will Iran retaliate with a terrorist attack? That would be exactly what Trump WANTS so that he can justify an authoritarian crackdown. And Iran just might relish the thought of retaliating *and* hastening the end of American democracy.

The way the troops carried themselves in the parade yesterday means that it was either the product of a complete breakdown in discipline or open rebellion against having to participate. There are no other explanations and both of these are bad.
