The Richmond Society is calling for action from @richmondcouncil.bsky.social to get repairs done at one of our best-known local monuments. The damage to the RSPCA Cattle Fountain on Richmond Hill happened last October; but there is still no word on when it will be put right.

How do we keep our community safe? Richmond has comparatively low crime rates, but public involvement is needed to shape the strategy for the future. Read about the @LBRUT consultation, and check the statistics, on our website: www.richmondsociety.org.uk/richmond-com...

A revitalised #Richmond landmark.

The Society commended the restoration of Richmond Station at its October 2023 awards event. The splendid art deco facade looks especially glamorous now at night. The next phase of the project is under way.

Members of the Richmond Society visited Asgill House, alongside the Thames, on the latest of Paul Velluet’s heritage walks. Asgill House is on the site of the old royal palace in Richmond upon Thames, and is thought to have been built around 1760.

The #Richmond May Fair on Saturday May 10th is already shaping up to be even bigger and better than last year. New charity and business stalls, the usual barbecues, but also a wider range of international cuisine, plenty of entertainment, an amazing Dog Show and of course the Fun Fair.

We’re thrilled to see 7 heifers now grazing in Petersham Meadows. After no grazing in 2023, and a very small amount last year, this is a welcome move back to tradition.

Planning the future transport needs of the borough is a tough job, and it’s better done if local residents feed in their views. Find out how to take part in the council’s survey, along with a couple of thoughts from us, on our website: www.richmondsociety.org.uk/have-your-sa...
