Federal agents aren’t trying to keep the peace. They want violence to escalate so that Trump can declare martial law.

They shot a reverend in the head with pepper balls while he was praying in front of an ICE facility. If that doesn’t tell you where we are as a country, nothing will.

Nothing remotely resembling an insurrection is happening anywhere in the country. Any violence associated with protest has been isolated, mild, and, in nearly every case, instigated by federal law enforcement. If we let Trump get away with calling dissent an insurrection, our republic is over.

In the past 24 hours I have become the de facto caretaker of the line, trying to bring order to the chaos.
By my last count, we had around 67 members of the media in line to cover today's proceeding.

Our first stop in New York? A trip to the courthouse to scope out the line situation, obviously.
By 11 pm ET, professional line sitters were already in place outside 100 Centre Street. They're waiting in line on behalf of several media organizations.
