falling asleep and waking to another inkblot on pensione sheets
too embarrassed to look at the returned graded paper, i tossed it

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

sometimes the internet delivers…for the 1965 427 Cobra SC (semi-competition), the car came with "quick jacks" instead of bumperettes, which were used to lift the entire car off the ground

when someone breaks an arm, falling out of a tree they are trimming, i don’t ask for their visa

i do hope their employer has a license and workman’s comp
and the homeowner has coverage too
and ACA coverage helps

but i still ask at farmers’ market booths about pesticides when not labeled as natural, pesticide free, or organic (particularly for fruit and greens)

i was at a “natural” winery this weekend where the owner spoke and said she had no plans of using pesticides or chemical fertilizers but also would not transition to “organic” labeling as she couldn’t risk 5 years of crops and marketing if an unforseen swarm descended.
