I'm a blue dot in a red state controlled by an organized crime syndicate masquerading as a political party.
Just read on Cleveland. Com that Sherrod Brown will be running against Republican senate placeholder Jon Husted. We need to get Sherrod back in the US Senate.

The Republican tax cut for the rich bill is the final solution for people the GOP deems unworthy to live. Cuts to Medicaid will lead to closures of hospitals & nursing homes & weaken Medicare. It will leave more adults & children without coverage. Combined with RFK's madness, it's scary to think?

I think it's pretty clear that pee wee nazi Steven Miller is the evil puppet master pulling all the strings behind the actions of the DHS, ICE, & the DOJ. He should be the focus of the courts & the judges, and he should be the one held in contempt of court for failing to comply with court orders.

Ohio is again trying to change the threshold on citizen led ballot initiatives to 60% instead of a simple majority of 50+1. So busy undermining democracy instead of upholding democracy. We just can't let the rabble rule themselves. Only we know best said every conservative or fascist.

I wish Ohio Republicans worked as hard at supporting democracy as they do at trying to destroy democracy. Of course, it's just not an Ohio problem.

In response to Friday mornings caller. Republicans are not smarter. Republicans concentrated on gaming the system to gain and maintain power. They want to rule, not govern. Democrats concentrated on good government for the country and played by the rules.

Little Donnie did do something with his tariffs. This I never thought I would believe. He pushed China, Japan, and S. Korea to work together on trade. Japan brutally occupied both China and S. Korea in WWII. And China, who helped split Korea in 2 by invading Korea during the Korean War. Not friends.

They were willing to tell grandpa and grandma to sacrifice themselves for the good of the economy during covid. They are irony impaired, and their hypocrisy knows no end. They will twist anything into a pretzel to make it fit their agenda.

It just came to mind that the reduction of the military may be a way Maga builds it's own trained para military force or mercenary force like Blackwater. They entice radicals to leave and join the Maga mercenary army for higher pay.

Fox News finally admits he is a fascist. I know it wasn't intentional, but every bit counts.

With no expected action by the GOP house or Senate. Trump's tariff liberation day can be considered taxation without representation. An unnecessary tax that will be paid by every single person in this country. Just another mad king at work. Too bad we can't throw Trump tower in the Atlantic Ocean.

@msignorile.bsky.social JD Vance served four years in the Marine Corp. One uneventful 6 month deployment in Iraq in public affairs. Per NPR. Obviously, there is danger in military travel and being in a war zone, but he was no Mark Kelly who flew 39 combat missions in the Gulf War off the USS Midway.

We have 3 entities that brought us to this point. Republicans who have morphed into libertarians who believe government should do nothing but provide for the military and the courts. They empowered the religious right who wants a Christian theocracy & they have used an aspiring dictator to enact it

Collaborators to our democratic republic. This is the U.S. version of the enabling acts. Schumer & Durbin should step down from their leadership roles. Gillabrand should resign as head of the DSCC. No confidence in leadership. Merkley, Whitehouse, Murphy, and Murray should fill those positions.

@hartmannreport.com Thom, Congressman Rangel was a veteran of the Korean War.

@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social I stand with all the democrats who have been speaking out against this fascist regime, including Congressman Al Green. You can not fight tyranny and a dictator with silence and inaction. Republicans don't care about norms or decorum and are no longer statesmen.
March 7, 2025 at 12:36 AM
@repmarcykaptur.bsky.social Shame on you for voting to censure Congressman Al Green. These are not normal times. Republicans are no longer statesman. We are facing a fascist take over of our government and 10 democrats are worried about decorum. You need to stand together. By the way I'm a DEMOCRAT!
March 6, 2025 at 11:35 PM
@algreen.house.gov I salute your courage, and I support your protest against the unthinkable and heartless action to gut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicade, all to give the morbidly rich a tax cut they neither deserve, or need. It's a shame more of our democratic leaders didn't follow you.
March 6, 2025 at 11:16 PM
Democrats should have walked out in waves every 10 minutes last night after Congressman Al Green modeled what courage is. If you can't show solidarity in fighting against tyranny, how can you inspire people to do what's right for our nation and humanity? No kings, not then, not now, not ever!
