Today showed me that I was being way too ambitious thinking I could manage a move during the absolute busiest season at work. I am exhausted and it's only Monday.

Managed to get a mixed load of laundry done today and it just brought home how perfect that apartment would have been for me. I'm still upset I didn't get it and now I feel like I'll be stuck climbing stairs forever. No holiday cheer for this guy.

On my way home from looking at places this morning, I stopped to get an egg and cheese bagel at House of Bagels for lunch. They are closing for 3 months of renovations 14 Dec so I had to stock up. My freezer will be full for a bit. 😂

Well, the power of postive thoughts didn't work this time and I didn't get my dream apartment. It was perfect for me and I am crushed. I feel like such a loser today.

Watching my first Christmas movie of the season: Fitzwilly! It's my favorite Dick Van Dyke movie, and he is joined by Barbara Feldon, a young Sam Waterston, and Dame Edith Evans (who is always worth watching!). Just a fun, silly heist movie set during the holidays.

Two days into a short holiday week and my knees are screaming at me. Hopefully tomorrow is a quiet day at work and I won't be running around all day like today.

Thought I might have to use my cane for Saturday's Symphony concert at Davies because my left knee has been so unstable all week. I was able to rest it at work today (after yesterday's absolute event chaos in our building) so it looks like I won't need it. Yay!

We got sent home at 4 today because the private event that took over most of our building took OVER the building. It was insane. Went to the store and got home by 5:30 and now I'm enjoying some tenders. Win-win!

Found out if I buy my new phone directly from Samsung, I can get it for $250 less than through Xfinity and get the color I wanted instead of settling. I think I should go ahead and buy now because the next gen might be outrageously priced because of tariffs. Thoughts?

Finally got a haircut (I was having pandemic long hair flashbacks!) and beat the afternoon rain home. Icing my knee because it started swelling again.

I was supposed to do some laundry today, but instead I'm icing my knees after falling up my stairs. Again. Finding an apartment in a building with an elevator and level entry is proving to be a challenge.

I really overdid it this week and my knees are screaming at me today. I have so much work to do sorting crap in my apartment so I'll be ready when I find a new place. Today is all about icing and resting my knees.

It's only Wednesday but I feel like I have worked a full week already. And it's not even our busy season yet. Grateful to have a job that keeps me on my toes.

As a reminder: we are leaving Daylight Saving Time and moving to Standard (or natural) Time when we set our clocks back tonight. People still seem confused by this.

This week absolutely wore me out so today I am doing as little as possible. I love my job, but I keep inheriting more duties each week that other staff can't manage. I dread the next two months as performances ramp up and I get busier than ever.

After I posted last night about my Monday, I discovered my 12-year-old computer is about to give up the ghost. Best Buy is having a great sale on HP laptops, but I don't have that kind of money right now. Hopefully they have sales again in a few months.

Today was the most Monday Monday I've had in a long time. Within 20 minutes of arriving I got: Why didn't you do that thing? (Which is in no way my responsibility) and Why didn't you warn us about the Sunday IT work (No work was scheduled and I am not IT)? It got worse.

Well at least I didn't fall on the stairs this time. Instead I waited until I was in my apartment and tripped over my own feet. Luckily there was a wall to break my fall so I didn't hit the floor.

Nothing like a jackhammer outside and a new razor blade to start the day. Did you know when you shave a layer of skin off your cheekbone it bleeds like crazy? Now sporting a Band-aid under my left eye. Makes me look tough. 😂🤣😂
