Been using a CPAP for sleep apnea for 12 years. Decided to get a new sleep study done, as considering a different therapy. To do that, have to stop using CPAP for 6 days, just had night 4, and I’m a mess. Amazing what sh*tty sleep does to your brain.

I read a bunch of his works when I was younger, I have them on my shelf. I quite enjoyed them then. Pulled one out a little while ago to see how it had stood up, and it was a little cringeworthy in spots, but I think a lot of old fantasy wears that hat.

I've done dictation for years, directly into Scrivener using Mac voice control. Just upgraded my computer so I can use the latest version of MacOS, and dictation is really improved. Not perfect, but at least as good if not better than my sloppy typing. No need for expensive dictation software.

If you want a mac, but think they’re too expensive, I replaced my 2015 Macbook with a refurb 2024 Mac Mini for under $700 Canuck. I had a monitor and keyboard. Just about fell over when I saw the price. Not a laptop, but I have my iPad for mobile. (Works as a second monitor, too.) It’s so small.

Do you use ChatGPT to find books? Apparently AI search is growing. Where SEO was unimportant to fiction authors, as people found books through Amazon/Kobo, etc., it's changing. Which means making your website AI friendly, which is SEO+, really. So are you using any AI search tools this way?

I’ve always loved historical atlases. I’m a map nerd. (Us fantasy tours often are.) A friend alerted me to this one, and I couldn’t help myself, and bought it. It’s gorgeous, and unlike most of the old historical atlases I read when I was young, it’s not entirely European centric.
