Just in: The Rosseinsky group made a Zr-MOF with ordered straight & bent linkers, via one-pot synthesis. The result: a tetragonally distorted fcu structure with as yet unreported cage & window shapes.

Huge congrats to @forganross.bsky.social & the University of Glasgow team on their ChemRXIV preprint! Using 3DED/microED, they found 9 intermediate phases in MIL‑53(Cr & Ga) breathing in vacuum, uncovering structure PXRD doesn't see. Looking forward to full publication!
