Less than 60 pages into La Regenta and I've decided I'm gonna make a map of all the characters and their relationships because each of these guys has 4 names and all of them start with C this is the Spanish equivalent of a Dostoyevsky novel

Daiyushu... I honestly wish she'd got the Night Drifter ID instead 😓 I don't see many Daiyuisms in Ryoshu. I think it'd fit Heath or Sinclair better, but whatever. I guess they're giving her treats before her canto

I don't personally think Godot is particularly the most complex AA antagonist but if he has any complexity it's in his misogyny. His hatred towards Phoenix is him projecting his belief that men have to secure the women around them as if they were possessions and he doesn't allow himself --
