It’s kinda funny how like, it’s easy to respect Cawthon’s “I don’t want to put my characters in things that won’t fit them” stance on fortnite, like artistically that’s super easy to respect, but the comedy of this is we very much have seen what he’s approved anyway

i've begun to appreciate how much weight mario has in it i think. i don't think a lot of 3d platformers have very heavy feeling characters, and maybe understandably so why, but it makes 64 feel really unique, mario is like a truck in that game

mario 64 is really funny because i probably wouldn't even put it in my top marios but for some reason a lot of the critique of it makes me shake me head. maybe i instinctively feel the need to defend "outdated" games now

i already somewhat feel this way about smash ultimate right now funny enough, i think it's the ultimate "package" but i played some melee recently and i still think i'd probably put ultimate in like, 3rd place smash bros wise

i think i can concede that mario kart 8 deluxe is still the ultimate mario kart "package" but in the same way it's hard to go back to mario kart games without the trick system it's hard to now go back to a mario kart without rail grinding and wall riding to me, it's like a vital mechanic to me
