Working on something and need to surface to see if you're happy with this. What am I missing? Are you represented here?
Praising films with "absolutely no CGI" while this is on screen.

VFX artist will go down in history as one of the most shit-on professions.

When it's bad, everyone's a hater.
When it's good, people give the credit to someone else while the director and cast pretend you don't exist.
I have to brag. It's the best tool I've made. I'm excited for the narrative opportunities this opens up for my work. All in Blender.
Big thanks to Ayush Banik! Supporter funds went to developing this haunted forest prop pack. Available for supporters to download. Happy Halloween!
A few small quality updates to Third Person Kit this morning! Based on user feedback I added:
- full screen toggle for controller mode
- free cam mode (tab to toggle), so you can rotate around your character without changing direction.
By popular demand (like maybe two emails) I’ve decided I’ll be releasing my tools Timelapse orbit and Hotbox on Superhive.

Patreon supporters will still get access, but many just want all tools in one place! I get it.
Small update to Third Person Kit tonight: Camera will now have collision you can enable. This is useful for confined interior spaces. It helps avoid camera clipping through walls.

You can also now zoom the camera in and out with the scroll wheel.
Here it is! My latest secret project. Third Person Kit for Blender. Now on Superhive. #b3d
I'm about one more weekend away from releasing a top secret Blender tool I've been working on 😁💃

It completely changes what I'm able to make in Blender. I hope it does the same for you. Excited to show it off soon! I've learned if I show before it's done, I lose motivation.
Just found a photo of my badass great grandpa.
He stood in the yellow dark, apron sagged, eyes lit like fuses. #b3d
I think my favorite aspect of Blender 5.0 is it gets the compositor into the asset browser and allows artists to package and distribute their own compositor setups.

This opens up so many opportunities for compositing in Blender. We're going to see a lot of great tools shared.
PSA: How to make Pinterest useful for reference gathering again.
It's a shame. I built a sizeable following on a platform that just annoys me to get on now 😅 Haven't touched it in a while.

The 3D community at large is very fragmented across socials. I don't feel like there's a place anymore where it's like "oh yeah, we're on this platform. Go network there."
New training just walking through creating a small jungle island and animation in Blender. #b3d
WIP on my latest late night endeavor. #b3d
Experiment last night. Nothing huge, but I got a quick decal scatter system out of #b3d 5.0's new scatter modifier. Not bad considering it's a single image of leaves!
Playing with the new Scatter modifier in Blender 5.0🙃. It has all the features I usually build from scratch, and it's stackable. In this scene, I used one for trees, one for large foliage, and another for grass.

#b3d 5.0 is going to be a big one.
More shots I took from one of the coolest events I've ever witnessed. These really don't do justice... Imagine a low earthy rumble as the lava hits the floor. Lava flow as far as you can see. The vent reached over 1,300 ft!
