Giving every character in Wasteland 3 a few ranks of Animal Whisperer so they can all get cats, dogs, rabbits, foxes, etc. Just have a pack of critters distract my foes in battle.
Which isn't great for the long term life expectancy of said animals. But hey, they'll die as proud Desert Rangers.

I've never liked the treatment of NCR in the Fallout show but if you only watched it it'd seem like they only had the one city.
Not that it might not dissolve without it. But Junktown, Boneyard, Dayglow, The Hub, Redding, (Vault City, Reno, Arroyo assuming those 3 joined) all pretty sizeable towns.

It's pretty damning to something in a game when defenders generally say "It's not that bad" rather than "It's good."
And there's merit to "It's not that bad." I don't think the Temple of Trials in Fallout 2 is so bad you shouldn't play it and the badness can be overstated.
