All kinds of moods on this album, and that sailor still looks freaky.

The final scenes stuck with me for ages, I wondered if it would get mentioned tonight.

#NowRediscovering Rosalie Cunningham's debut album, and enjoying it very much more than when I first heard it. (Was a bad time then, better now)
A splozzed-up image of Rosalie

Struggling to come up (ooh missis) with any Floyd / Francis puns...

I must add, this is -sez I- their best yet. Plenty of songs, they're all bangers 🍌

Hyper quick delivery from Connecticut means I now have the CD of @thestripedbananas.bsky.social new album, Eternity Forest. And it's even gorgeouser in the flesh!
Thanks, Duncan & Tel 🍌

Being in the presence of great art is quite the experience, I rather envy you with this.

And thank you for reminding me of The Rain Parade. No Easy Way Down is a real favourite.

Yes, there are demo versions on there too. I saw the Mole video on telly back then, and guessed it was a pastiche but had no idea who was behind it. For a while, anyway...

The 'XTC as' on the cover jars a little - when I got the original mini LP I had no idea who they were. But what a stunning stunner! A perfect bunch of songs and the authentic phasing of 'Your Gold Dress' & Mellotronicissity of 'Mole From The Ministry' make for a wonderful ending.
I love 25 o'clock.

Have you read 'The McCartney Legacy'? I found both books utterly fascinating - the detail appealed to me - and Kindling vol 2 for 99p was fortunate!

They were still creating stuff as a band then

This and the follow up - Berlin - are real high spots. I saw them at Queen Elizabeth Hall in the 90s playing in front of a screening of Häxan.

#NowPlaying Le Mariage Du Ciel Et De L'Enfer by Art Zoyd.
In the mid-80s, I was claiming this was the greatest album ever. It still rates very highly, because it is brilliant. Wish I'd seen the ballet that accompanied them.
Some blue-flamey figures (I think)
