The dancer is created with the scratchboard technique. The boards I made mysel by layering different color coats of paint on top of eachother. Usually I would stick to a spectrum between 2 colors rather than the entire rainbow as I had done in this one.

Occasionally I love to work with chameleon colors which shift between 2 or more hues dramatically deopending on the viewing angle.
They are a bit trickier to fins a motif for where it fits naturally.

Smaugust! A Little Egret this time. as you might notice I've recycled the sketch and design form Purple heron since the anatomy si the same more or less. so did a little cheating and reused that one with a few tweekign around to still have some uniqueness on it and not be a complete re-color :)
