Riverkeeper thanks Governor Kathy Hochul for saying "no" to the idea of repowering the decommissioned Indian Point nuclear power plant. Proposals to bring nuclear power back to Indian Point ignore the substantial remediation needed to rid the site of its current radioactive contamination.

Participated in @riverkeeper.org’s annual #Riverkeepersweep yesterday! Our group removed over 40lbs of trash from ~300’ of the Bushwick Inlet. Scrounging for “treasures” under rocks was satisfying, esp. when wedged pieces required some gumption and brawn 😂 Great group of folks. Good haul 🦾
