Happy to reveal my Karma design for this month's #redesigningxmen round, the theme was ofc The Hellfire Gala given Rivals & the upcoming ritual. Please check out everyone's excellent art.

A young Asian woman with an asymmetric bob in a revealing off white outfit. She wears a low cut bodice, a heavy textured, baggy bolero & short, tight, low rise leggings with an asymmetric hip cut out. The outfit is decorated with geometric shapes referencing the character's power signature. She notably has an ornate prosthetic leg with designer black heels.

Further notes:
With Krakoa may be gone for now but the annual Hellfire Gala is still warmly remembered & a source of inspiration for many of us in the fandom. With The Gala being featured in Marvel Rivals & being remembered in the Upcoming Hellfire Vigil, some of us designed looks for characters we love.
I chose Karma aka Xuan Coa Man, an often overlooked character who I wanted to give a new look. I pulled from various fashion references to give her an asymmetric look that I hope flatters her. Couple of shout outs:

Sam Johnstone did an excellent design for Karma which definitely influenced the direction I took the design in, particularly in regards to her prosthetic. Which leads me to Alleles , a company that designs beautifully ornate prosthetic covers who I've referenced before, you can actually buy this exact cover if you like it.
Finally, for the face ref I based her on Vietnamese singer Toc Tien who I'm now obsessed with.
