It's definitely all about tin tabernacles here at BCD right now. Historic Churches 2025 is coming out soon and there's a great article all about tabernacle interiors.

These are coming along really well 👍
ramzabeolve192.bsky.social
So working on my first Silver Bayonet buildings today. I’m pretty happy with how they are coming along. The left building will be covered with balsa wood planks, for a small wood building, And the right one will have wood accents as well.
Two work in progress foam buildings. The left one is small and made out of all styrofoam with a wood door frame. The right one has wood trim and a pink foam chimney and side room, while the rest is covered with yellow texture paint and foam to look like mortar and slate. Between the two is a grey miniature for scale

From Historic England’s (extensive) listing description:

“EXTERIOR: the three-stage west tower has diagonal buttresses with offsets and a crenellated parapet with slender, crocketed pinnacles to the corners. To the base of the tower is a moulded off-set plinth, with a string course to the top of each stage. The north side of the tower has two memorial tablets to the first stage and a stair turret to the first and second stages. To the west side of the tower is a central, four-centred arched doorway beneath a rectangular hoodmould with label stops. The spandrels of the doorway carry Abbot Parker’s coat of arms. The doorway was restored and re-carved in c1993. There is a three-light tracery window above. To the second stage is a small, single-light round-headed window, while each side of the third stage has a two-light belfry window.” The Nave east bellcote looking east.
