Orsino was sister ship of HM Trawler Viola (members of the Hellyer Fishing Fleet all named after Shakespearean characters). Viola was then on anti-submarine duties off Shetland and is still around to this day lying at Grytviken, South Georgia. Later involved in sinking two U-boats. Read more here.

Incidentally, George Hammond's father William had made an early visit to Paris with David Hartley MP and met with Franklin and company. Interesting bloke William Hammond, he also sold the Admiralty the two ships used by Captain Cook in his second great voyage.

Two of the three people in British delegation who refused to be painted associated with Hull. David Hartley MP for Hull led the delegation; his secretary was 20 year old George Hammond, later appointed Minister Plenipotentiary to the USA and now regarded as the first British Ambassador to the US.
