“If it were smooth, it would be no fun. Every team has their difficulties, and it's just, we got to figure out how quickly we can get over them.”

A change in their defensive strategy against Giannis helped the Spurs slow down “The Greek Freak” Thursday night.

Not surprisingly, it centered on Stephon Castle.

“We've asked a lot of that kid and people now expect a lot of that kid,” Mitch Johnson said.

Wemby on if he thought it was a serious injury after his collision w/ Giannis: “I didn’t think it was serious because it was just like a knee to knee. And I've had this dozens of times, but never against a guy like this. So that was a lot more than usual, but it's thankfully a very benign thing.”

Wemby on taking over in final minutes w/ his 2 15-ft. jumpers:

“(My) mindset was just, we have to close out that game. I think too often, I mean it's easier said than done, but too often we do lots of efforts and let it go to waste one way or the other. So, I felt like not letting that happen.”
