"Have not been able to talk to the medical staff yet, but I think I saw what everybody else saw. Obviously, he finished the game on the bench with his teammates, so I think that made me feel good.”

Mitch Johnson likes the wing’s 6-foot-6 size and defensive mindset.

The San Antonio Warren alumnus appeared in 11 games with the Austin Spurs after participating in training camp with the Spurs.
 
He’s expected to be with the club for the rest of the season.

While it doesn’t count standings-wise, Tuesday’s game will count toward the 65 Wemby needs to play while logging at least 20 minutes (in all but two of those outings) to be eligible for the All-NBA teams or year-end awards. He can now miss a maximum of 18 games.
