All that said.. I don't know about best tape disposal practices. I do think there are recyclers who will reuse tape.. you may want to bulk erase them with a degausser. (I have one if you need one)

I did a video for a customer where the DVD master was called a Glass Master.. and was literally pitted glass. I would love to learn if that is a long term archival storage mechanism.

Eager to hear if there are any replies. I'm also wondering what, if any, deeper archival formats exist. For some time, Tape DATA Storage was the gold standard for longest durable .. but I wonder if it's still possible to get them and the drives.(Not That I've looked!!)
