After 34 years in education as a teacher, coach, and school administrator, the last five as Superintendent of the Aurora City Schools, I am now running for the 2026 Ohio State Senate seat in District 27 (Portage, Geauga, & Summit Counties)

Attended the State Teacher Retirement System Town Hall last night as both a retiree and candidate. It was interesting to hear the status of STRS and the next steps. With over 500K members STRS is going strong both financially as well as a voice that carries weight in Ohio @portagedems.bsky.social

Awesome "WTF is Happening with Food" event last night. I was able to hear both stories of food insecurity in the area as well as ways to support folks with food insecurity including through the Flashes Fighting Hunger, the Haymaker Food Assistance Program, and the brand new "Free Fridge"
