I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.
The CEO of one of the biggest health insurance companies couldn’t answer my question on AI-driven denials.

Health insurance companies should not compound on our healthcare crisis by weaponizing AI to deny Americans essential care.

The law required the DOJ to release the Epstein files by Dec. 19.

Over a month later, less than 1% are public.

Transparency isn’t optional. The law is the law.

RELEASE THE FILES.

What’s Going on With the Epstein Files?
More than a month after the deadline for the DOJ to release all the files, the vast majority are still not public.

Over 100 members of Congress. One clear message. No one is above the law.

Support for my impeachment resolution against Secretary Noem only grows as more communities experience ICE’s Gestapo tactics. Her reign of terror must end.

In 1964, the 24th Amendment outlawed poll taxes, a Jim Crow tool used to suppress Black voters.

Today, we must stay vigilant against President Trump’s attacks on democracy. The right to vote is sacred and must always be protected.

Mercedes Wells’s courage knows no bounds.

“This is the time to stand for what we know is right and not back down. A change has to happen now,” Mercedes Wells told POLITICO. I’m proud to fight for her — and for every mom whose pain has been ignored.

Speaker Johnson & Leader Thune need to grow a spine & stick to the bipartisan E-15 deal.

While they cow to big oil & President Trump’s global conquest, our American farmers are stuck with soaring costs & unreliable markets.

@housedemocrats.bsky.social & I are ready to deliver year-round E-15 now.

Members of Congress, the Vice President, and the President should NOT be able to trade stocks.

I signed a discharge petition to force the Restore Trust in Government Act to the floor, which would end conflicts of interest.

I refuse to fund Secretary Noem’s reign of terror and the weaponization of ICE against our cities.

I am using every tool at my disposal to hold her accountable and defend our Constitution.

I voted NO.

As a mother, I’m horrified that this little boy was used as bait and is now detained by ICE.
As a Member of Congress, I’m using my power to impeach Secretary Noem. Her reckless violation of public trust must end now.

America is better than this.

Today marks 53 years since #RoevWade —and four years since Trump’s court took our rights away.

Reproductive healthcare bans are still blocking care across this country.

I trust YOU—not politicians—and I’m fighting to end these attacks on bodily autonomy.

GOOD NEWS: My PREEMIE Reauthorization Act to prevent preterm births is in the health funding bill this week.

Illinois moms, especially Black moms, experience a higher preterm birth rate than the national average. That’s unacceptable. My bill ensures a healthy start for every mom and baby.

From New York to Hawaii, the message is loud and clear: Americans have had enough of ICE and Secretary Noem.

I’m leading the effort to impeach Secretary Noem for her unconstitutional actions and ICE’s reign of terror on our communities.

President Trump said “you’ll find out” on how far he’ll go to take over Greenland.

I’m not waiting to find out. I’m stopping him now.

I filed an amendment to the defense funding bill to keep President Trump in check and prevent him from buying or attacking Greenland.

Three years ago in Monterey Park, a Lunar New Year celebration turned to tragedy.

Today, I remember the 11 killed, 9 injured, and the Asian American community that was traumatized.

I will keep fighting for commonsense gun reform that disarms hate to protect all our communities.

In 1968, Shirley Chisholm broke barriers, becoming the first African American woman elected to Congress—paving the way for us today.

Now, I have a painting of her in my office to remind me of the power of representation.

The incompetence surrounding President Trump is unbelievable.

Secretary Noem and fellow minions follow President Trump blindly, no matter the harm.

I’m impeaching Secretary Noem for breaking due process by directing her agents to conduct warrantless arrests and use excessive force.

President Trump promised to lower costs of living on Day One of his presidency.

One year later, families are still waiting.

Instead of lowering costs, President Trump’s inflation caused the everyday Illinois family to pay $1,781 more in 2025.
January 20, 2026 at 3:18 PM
The message is clear: the People have had enough.

I filed Articles of Impeachment against Secretary Noem to answer their demands for actions and show her that Americans & Congress are watching.

She cannot break the law without consequences.

Happy National Popcorn Day.

I believe in popcorn diplomacy.

Sometimes real progress starts with a simple conversation and a shared snack. I will keep working to turn these conversations into action for our families.

Dr. King taught us that the road to justice is long and often difficult, but we must keep moving forward.

Today, I honor his legacy by standing up for justice, fighting for equality, and working toward fairness for all.

Mr. Campos’ death is a tragedy, and it never should’ve happened. Under Secretary Noem’s leadership, the DHS continues to lie about his death.

I’m impeaching Secretary Noem for obstructing Congress from overseeing these dangerous detention centers.

Over 5 million pages of Epstein files are still hidden.

Why?
Who is slowing this down?

I will keep pushing until the truth is out.

Release the Epstein files now.

Secretary Noem and her rogue agents are terrifying people. People—immigrants and Americans alike—are too scared to go to work, drop their kids off at school, go to doctors' appointments, and eat out.

I’m impeaching Secretary Noem for violating public trust.

Every day, I talk to Illinoisans who are worried about groceries and bills. Families are hurting.

While I’m working to lower your bills, Republicans are making the affordability crisis worse. You deserve better than elected officials who ignore your struggles.
