I didn't expect to get completely destroyed emotionally at 8am, but here we are. This spoke to me personally on so many levels. I've spent considerable time in Alaska, too, as a bonus, so that opening line primed the destruction.
I keep thinking about this piece by our EIC Jess. Bullet: she’s graduating soon
omg, today's Jessika short Bouvier is amazing!!!
"I’m not saying biphobia isn’t real, I’m saying girls were never all that into me anyway—too stubborn. A turn off, I’ve been told, mainly by Hinge lesbians: Venus Mercury, oof, how do we feel about that?"

So happy to be in @trampset.bsky.social! Excavated this one straight out of my heart.

I love the numerical specificity in this piece. I read it three times and each time felt like I was discovering something strange and new. Such a layered story!

This piece by @wendyewallace1.bsky.social took me to an uncomfortable place, something great writing often does. One part portal fantasy, two parts devasting meditation on the desire to belong. Amazing flash.

@aimee-bender.bsky.social Today, I was paid for my writing for the first time, and I would never have tried writing seriously if I hadn't read The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake in college. So, perhaps this is a bit odd, but I wanted to thank you for inspiring me!

So grateful to be a part of @doesithavepockets.bsky.social April issue! This is the first piece I've ever been paid for, and I cannot express what that means to me.
