The panel spans a decade of major political change, including the financial crisis, austerity protests, the rise of populism, and COVID-19. In Spain, it captures events such as 15M, significant party system change, corruption scandals, the Catalan independence bid, and feminist mobilization.
robpannico.bsky.social
POLAT focuses primarily on political variables, offering a broad range of indicators of attitudes and behaviors.
robpannico.bsky.social
The article provides an overview of the design, content, and characteristics of the dataset, which follows over 4,600 individuals across the decade 2010–2020.

💣Do terrorist attacks boost support for incumbents?

➡️ A.Falcó @jordimunoz.bsky.social @robpannico.bsky.social show that in Spain, support for incumbents rose ~4pts after attacks, mostly when the incumbent was conservative and when civilians were targeted www.cambridge.org/core/journal... #FirstView

Should democracies ban parties that threaten democracy?

In the DEMOTRADEOFF project survey we asked people in 15 countries about this.

A short 🧵 with some results

Citizens are deeply divided about this issue

Support for bans is highest in 🇮🇱 🇮🇹 🇪🇸 🇳🇱 🇵🇹 🇨🇭 🇩🇪
