Too many of our leaders don't show up or they'll roll into town with no advance notice. That's not public service, that's politics. We may not always agree but I'm committed to being accountable, listening first, and making sure no Iowa is left out of the conversation.

One of these perspectives supports a budget bill that kicks 106,700 Iowans off Medicaid & threatens to close Iowa's rural hospitals. In case it wasn't obvious, I'm against that perspective.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Senator Claire Celsi. Senator Celsi’s commitment to her constituents was something we all should aspire to achieve. My prayers are with her family and community.

This campaign isn't about me, it's about changing our political culture — a culture that pitted Iowans against each other & set ordinary folks back so insiders can exploit us all. I can't promise that we'll agree on everything, but I can promise I'll always listen, and will always fight for Iowans.

Homeownership is a little slice of the American dream, but it's out of reach for too many Iowans. If we want to keep more Iowans in Iowa, housing — and building housing — should be more affordable.
