My very immigrant, Indian father definitely thought the Pride parade was for people to march to show just how proud they are of someone else.

So in addition to providing some other important history and context, we told him,

“That’s exactly what it is.”

Absolutely. We need to stop selling walkability while actively investing in and incentivizing car-centered development. It’s like having cavities but insisting that eating more candy will make it go away.

Ebenezer Baptist Church held a forum for City Council President.

Once again, I’m the only one who showed up.

We talked about affordability, public safety, Cornelius Taylor, and the threat of the national guard.

I will never take engaging with the community for granted. It’s too important.

Our campaign has an entire platform on public safety, but instead of focusing on that, they decided to threaten my personal public safety. It’s shameful. Especially in a time like now.

This is an old and tired playbook.

Atlanta deserves better.

Yes, they darkened my beard and skin and called me a “threat to public safety.” No, we’re not sharing their images.

Yes, it was dangerous rhetoric. No, we haven't lost hope.
