introducing LIVES OF THE ARTISTS, a trans riff on the myth of the renaissance

(the comic isn't straight smut, but smut will be included)

Page one of a comic called "Lives of the Artists." In the first panel, we see a blind-folded angel flying over a densely-wooded forest. The angel is holding a spear. In the second panel, the angel shrinks as he flies into the distance. Meanwhile, a sound effect emerges from the trees: "huff."

A fourteen-panel comic about a lesbian couple having emotional sex. The opening narration reads: “In a few days, I was going abroad. I’d be gone for three months and my girlfriend wouldn’t be coming with me. She was psyched for me and had spent the week helping me pack.” The two women wake up and start having sex. The top says, “it’s going to be so hard not being able to touch you for three months.” The bottom starts crying, and then they both cry together.

I think if you draw smut you’re inherently a type of activist to a degree, and it’s why I’m sort of uncomfortable around the nsfw artists who claim that they just aren’t “interested” in politics.
